We need your voice to show Council that the community wants the Narrabri Community Battery.

Can you send a quick email of support AND/OR Phone in to Council before Tuesday 15th April?

The Narrabri Community Battery is ready to go—paid for, designed, and on its way—but a last-minute change could delay or even derail it.
This battery brings real benefits:
✅Helps local excess solar to stay local
✅Creates a local project fund with the profits (hoping for $10-$20k p.a.)
✅ Positions Narrabri as a clean energy leader

At the April 16th Council meeting, a motion will be put up that will cause further delays that could mean the end of the project. We need your letter or call by Tuesday 15th April.

And don’t forget to speak to any councillors as well!

Subject: I support the Narrabri Community Battery

Dear Interim GM, Mayor and Councillors,
I’m writing to express my strong support for the Narrabri Community Battery project.
I am writing because (choose option/s):
-
I am on the Community Advisory Committee for the battery
-
I have attended some of the Geni.Energy events over the last few years and have a knowledge of the project
-
I heard about the community battery
-
I am a local

I believe the Councillors should not support the new motion to be put to council on 16th April causing more months of delay and effectively killing the project.

This is a project that’s already funded, designed, and ready to be installed. It has approvals in place and is only waiting on the licence (rental) agreement from Council.

This project is a nation leader, brings federal investment to the region and will create local benefits.

For me, I particularly like this about the project (choose option/s):
-
It has already had years of work gone into the planning and approvals
-
It is already funded and designed and ready to be installed
-
It showcases artworks, adding to the creative feel of the town
-
It helps store our excess solar local and provide it back at night to the grid
-
It supports the grid and helps us put more solar on rooftops over time
-
It creates a local fund for other community renewable projects
-
It is a locally run project that helps us understand the electricity market and grid
-
It is owned and operated by a local non-profit
-
It has been designed and built to the highest standards
-
It puts Narrabri on the map as a nation leader and innovator
-
It brings federal funds into the community
-
other
I urge the Council to back the battery and help keep the project on track.

Sincerely,
